Apple Pie

In the grocery store all you can find, yogurt wise, is Greek yogurt. I think it’s funny when the flavors are apple pie, Boston cream pie, or key lime pie. Now I know that this yogurt could never replace a slice of homemade pie, but I decided to give it a go. I decided to try the apple pie.

Now I will give them this, it smelled like apple pie and it had apple and cinnamon flavors but that’s where the similarities end. Maybe if you had a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top and you’re eating the last spoonful of melted goodness, then yeah you could say that the yogurt was “apple pie”. But isn’t this just like us more times than we are willing to admit? We claim to be one thing but in reality we’re something completely different. We label ourselves as best friends with someone but gossip behind their backs. We claim to be a person of integrity but that’s not the case when no one is looking. We claim to be a Christian but our actions don’t match our words. In life we can’t just “taste like apple pie”. Either you are or you aren’t.

It’s time to take off the mask and stop pretending to be something that we aren’t. It’s time to be the homemade apple pie that everyone wants and loves! So don’t be yogurt that taste like pie when you can be the real thing.
