Smallest of Pebbles

Jet lagged doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel right now. But I’m pretty sure that the salty breeze of the Mediterranean can solve any problem. That is if you don’t get distracted.

So I landed and got to my hotel. And then I got some sad news when I was finally able to get this terribly slow wifi to load. So I went to the beach to take a walk and clear my head. Now, I don’t know if you have ever been to the beaches in Sicily, but it’s not like a beach that I’m used to. It’s mostly rocks and small pebbles (in a Monty Python voice). So I’m walking along the beach, in my chacos, and all theses small pebbles keep getting in my sandals. With each crashing wave it will wash most of them away. Except on my right foot. I can’t get this pebble out. Here I am, suppose to be in deep thought, and I can only think about the little pebble in my sandal.

Now I’m not going to say that you would have seen a grown man cry tonight. But it had to be quite the sight seeing me limp along. Why didn’t I take my shoes off some might ask? Good question, and I don’t know haha.  But I kept the annoying little rock as a reminder. Don’t let the littlest of things hinder you from focusing on the things in life that demand your attention.
