Silence

When’s the last time you’ve sat in complete silence and just listened? As I sit here in silence now all I can hear is the ticking of the clock, and it’s unnerving. The sound of the clock is enough to drive you to a padded cell.

Silence is unnatural to me. Whenever it gets really quiet I start humming, tapping, or whistling. But what if I told you that in the silence is where you will grow the most? Silence is where we’re forced to listen. What is the silence telling you today? Have you stopped long enough to listen?

Fight the urge to have some kind of noise and just listen to the silence. Get rid of the distractions around you.  You might just learn something new about yourself today. And remember you’re only crazy when the voices in your head start having conversations with each other.
