The older I get the more I realize how important routines are. I also realize how hard a daily routine can be.

I’ve been trying to take a multi vitamin every day. Sounds easy enough, right? After all, it’s just a “one a day” vitamin. Well let’s just say I hit that daily goal only about 70% of the time. And this epidemic of daily failures doesn’t stop there:

  • Trying to read a Proverbs a day.
  • Reading for at least ten minutes.
  • Going to the gym.
  • Actually eating 3 meals.
  • Getting a good nights sleep.
  • Praying.
  • Hemingway suggested writing 500 words a day. Doesn’t have to be good, just put pen to paper.

All seem simple enough. Yet trying to string all this together can become a daunting task. But all we can do is take it one day at a time. One task at a time. That’s how we’ll succeed.

One a day. Repeat.

  1. Welcome to Virtual Vitamins. Blessings on you! It took a while to get into my daily devotional reading/praying/writing routine, but I’m thoroughly hooked now. I trust that what I write will bless you, as I’m sure the Lord will bless others through you.
